I started training for my private pilot’s license right after high school and acquired my flight instructor’s certificate before my 19th birthday. I accomplished this by enrolling in a fast paced program where I had trained 7 days a week, I even remember flying on New Year’s Eve. The experience I acquired was valuable but to further sharpen my skills I decided to start teaching with that school. I stayed with that company for almost two years until the economy slowed down at which point I joined a local flight school at Bracket Airport on a part time basis. With more free time I decided to enroll at Utah Valley University in the fall of 2009 for my Bachelor’s in Science with a focus on Aviation Administration. My experience ranges from teaching beginner students to instrument pilots to training flight instructors. I’m a Gold Seal Flight Instructor with over 1100 hours instructions given and around 40 sign offs with over a 90% first time pass rate. I have flown a wide range of aircraft like Cessna 172s, Diamond Katanas, Piper Seminoles, Piper Arrows, Turbo Commanders, Citabrias, and a few other ones. The flying I have done has been all over ranging the west coast all the way to the southeastern United States. I’m constantly trying to improve my skills by staying up to date on the latest improvements in aviation, going up on my own to practice, getting my degree, and in April 2011 I plan to get my Airline Transport License.
